NEW MATERIAL:Imidazole derivatives of the formula [R is heteroaroyl containing N, S and O which is unsubstituted or substituted with alkyl, aralkyl, acyl, halogen] or their acid adducts.
EXAMPLE: 5-Carbamoyl-1H-imidazol-4-yl furan-2'-carboxylate.
USE: Carcinostatic, immunosuppressive, antibacteial, antifungal, antiviral and antirheumatic.
PREPARATION: The reaction between 4-carbamoyl-imidazolium-5-oleate or its reactive derivative such trimethylsilyl, trialkyltin derivative or mercury or silver salt and a reactive derivative of a carboxylic acid represented by the formula: ROH such as acid halide, mixed acid anhydride or active ester affords the compound of the formula.
