Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a battery without reducing the effective capacity by forming a film insulating member and ring insulating member separately and touching the periphery of the film insulating member with the edge of the ring insulating member liquid-tightly. CONSTITUTION:A collecting plate 8 is formed dish-shaped to be covered with a negative material 7c from its flat part 7d to its peripheral side part 7e. An insulating members 11 are formed separately, i.e., a film insulating member 11a inserted between the bottom 8a of the dish-shaped collecting plate 8 and the upper member of a battery case 6 and a ring insulating member 11b inserted between the peripheral ring part 8b of said collecting plate 8 and the side part of the battery case 6, the periphery of said film insulating member touches liquid-tightly with the upper edge of said ring insulating member 11b. Said touching is performed preferably by pressing or welding.
