Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten measurement time and enhance measurement accuracy in the chord vibration type electronic balance, by measuring clock pulses of frequency sufficiently higher than that of vibration of a chord while making the clock pulses correspond to the vibration frequency of the chord.
CONSTITUTION: The first counter 13 emits an output till it counts a previously set number corresponding to the vibration frequency of the chord applied from an excitation loop 4, 5, 6. A two-input AND gate 7 receives the output signal of the first counter 13 and the clock pulses of a reference clock signal generator 14, which produces the clock pulse signal of frequency sufficiently higher than the vibration frequency of the chord. The AND gate 7 transmits the clock pulse signal of the reference clock signal generator 14 depending on the output signal of the first counter 13. The second counter 15 counts the clock pulses from the AND gate to apply the number of the pulses as an output. Weight is calculated by a compensatory calculation unit and a tare weight subtraction unit 16 and indicated on a display unit 12. According to this constitution, accurate measurement is effected in a short time.
