Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform a fuel supply with mechanical means when an electrical device is in failure for a carburetor, by performing the fuel supply to a mixture chamber of the carburetor using the air valve through electrical and mechanical metering valves.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture chamber 4 formed between an air valve 2 and throttle valve 3 is linked to a constant oil level chamber 5 through a fuel path 13. On the path 13 the first and second fuel paths 10, 11 are separately arranged, and in the both paths 10, 11 control valves 34, 35 open-close operated in a reverse direction to each other are equipped and driven by a solenoid 38. A control circuit 19, to which the signal of an opening degree detector 17 of the air valve 2 or the other signals 22W28 are fed, controls the solenoid 38 further allows a prime mover 20 to actuate the first metering valve 21. Normally a fuel supply is performed only by the first path 10, while in failure the path 10 is replaced with the path 11, thus to permit the second metering valve 32 to perform the fuel supply by the air valve 2.
