Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform recording of high quality picture at a high speed using few buffer memories and simplified control circuit means, by providing a record receiving recording medium and a supporter and driving means therefore, and by arranging recording elements to have a special relationship with a recording onset time. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 5 includes an ink jet nozzle, etc., and a drum 11 on which a piece of recording paper is wound can be rotated by a rotation driver 9 in a direction shown by an arrow F2. This rotation is effected under the control of a synchronizing signal sent from a control circuit 3 through a signal 13, and the drums 10, 11 are rotated at speeds correlatively each other. On the other hand, the recording head 5 is moved along a carriage supporter 7 in a direction shown by an arrow S2. Therefore the recording head 5 can scan entirely a record receiving medium wound on the recording drum due to the main scanning by the rotation of the drum and the subscanning by the movement of the carriage, and can form a record image based on a recording signal sent from the control apparatus 3 through a signal 4.
