Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a room cooling or a room heating load by a method wherein cool air on a floor surface and warm air at an upper portion in a shop are drawn into a return duct and are discharged to outside or inside of the shop by switching them with a switching device, in a supermarket displaying open showcases therein.
CONSTITUTION: Cool air overflowed from open showcases 2 and being stayed in a cold area 5 is drawn into a return duct 18 and warm air staying at an upper portion in a shop is drawn into a return duct 19. Then, a duct switching device 23 is switched into a direction shown by an arrow sign A to discharge the cool air into the shop through a supply duct 40 upon room cooling after cooling it through an air- conditioning machine 21 while the warm air near a ceiling 20 is discharged to outside of the shop by switching the switching device 26 into a direction shown by an arrow C. For room heating, the switching devices 23, 26 are switched into directions B, D to sent out the cool air at the cold area 5 to the outside of the shop while sending out the warm air near the ceiling to the inside of the shop. According to these methods, a room cooling or a room heating load of the air-conditioning machine 21 may be reduced.
