Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the reduction of the integrating time and prevent the lowering of the image resolution of the slip in the scanning direction, by performing in a serial way both the tranfer of the charge at the reading part and the generation and storage of the charge at the photosensitive part. CONSTITUTION:Transfer gate TG is provided at the both sides each at photosensitive part A, and reading parts B1 and B2 consisting of CCD are provided outside the transfer gate. The reflected light of the slip is applied to each cell via light transmission window w provided right under insulated gate PG at part A, and thus the corresponding signal charge is generated and stored. In this case, time TT to tranfer the integrated charge to parts B1 and B2 from part A, reading time TIM of the signal charge and idle transmission time TW are set respectively after time TI during which the charge excited optically is integrated. And total time TF of these times is defined as the time to read each line of the slip via the line sensor.
