Abstract

PURPOSE: To restrain vibration of the optical scanning system to make good optical scanning possible, by fitting a light source, the optical scanning system, a photoelectric converter, and so on to one fitting stand into one body and by moving this fitting stand along the scanned surface.
CONSTITUTION: Laser oscillator 10, optical scanner 16, reflection plane mirrors 32a ad 32b, and so on are put and fixed into prescribed positions on fitting stand 28 of the optical scanning system supported by slide axes 30a and 30b which are installed in the direction orthogonal to the width direction of original 12; and by moving fitting stand 28 in the arrow A direction, the surface of original 12 is scanned optically, and the reflection light from original 12 is converted to an electric signal through light guides 34a and 34b by photoelectric converters 36a and 36b. Consequently, the light path length becomes always fixed to perform optical scanning, and vibration can be restrained to obtain a stable scanning line.
