The detection signal drives and controls the pulse motor to align the head. In this case, two pulses are detected with the detectors A and B through the movement of the head, and the head is aligned by switching the detectors A and B through the odd and even number of tracks of the disc 1. Thus, the track pitch of flexible disc is made fine to increase the recording density.
