Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the holding ability of an active material, by punching a lead- alloy plate to prepare two plate bases which have dissimilar arrangements of frameworks and after that, juxtaposing the two bases in such a manner that the frameworks form an alternate zigzag pattern. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed lead-alloy plate is punched with two punching dies so as to leave frameworks 3b of different patterns. The thus-punched two plate bases are superposed in such a manner that the frameworks form an alternate zigzag pattern. After that, outer frames 2b are punched out, thus obtaining a base body 1b. With this constitution, the holding ability of an active material is enhanced, because spaces 4b formed in the interior of the base body 1b are connected continuously to one another.
