Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide dyed paper of unique color, shading and design without patching dyed papers together by decoloring specific portion of heat pressed dyed paper by use of organic solvent.
CONSTITUTION: For example, pattern is designed on heat pressed dyed paper of mono-color and the periphery of the pattern is immersed in water soluble macro- molecule solution such as starch. After drying organic solvent (eg. ethel alchohol, etc.) including oxidizing agent or reducing agent is applied to the pattern portion by using a brush without dissolving used starch in order to oxidize or reduce it. Then, starch is removed through washing with water and part of bleached section is colored with other dyestuff as necessary to obtain the desired heat pressed dyed paper. Heat pressed dyed paper is obtained by ironing such paper placed on the cloth.
