Abstract

PURPOSE: To heat a bath to a prescribed temperature by detecting without errors the temperature of heated water using one or more pairs of thermosensors placed within a lower circulation pipe and by suspending the heating.
CONSTITUTION: A bath heater 1 and a bathtub 2 located adjacent thereto are communicated through an upper circulation pipe 3 and a lower circulation pipe 4, a combustion gas 7 can be supplied to a heat source portion 6 of the bath heater 1 through a supply pipe 5, and the supply of the combustion gas 7 can be cut off by an on-off valve 8. In the present apparatus, one or more pairs of thermo-sensors 9, 9' are arranged within the lower circulation pipe 4, the sensors 9, 9' are respectively located within an upper half 10 and a lower half 10' that are formed by halving the pipe 4 along a transverse line X, and the seriese outputs of the sensors 9, 9' are used a cut-off signal for the valve 8. In this arrangement, if an attachment angle θ of the sensors 9, 9' is varied, detection errors cannot be increased, and the errors arising from the change of a water amount W are also greatly minimized.
