Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure an perfect elimination of the undesired reflected waves as well as enhance the working efficiency of manufacture of the surface elastic wave element, by forming the conductor film at a part between the transducer and the end face of the piezoelectric substrate. CONSTITUTION:For the surface elastic wave element including both wave transmitting and receiving transducers 12-S and 12-R on the surface of piezoelectric substrate 11, conductor film 31 is provided at a part between the transducer and the end face of the piezoelectric substrate approximating to the transducer in order to eliminate the undesired waves to at least one of transducers 12-S and 12-R. The shape of film 31 can be decided according to the distribution of surface wave 32, e.g. film 31 can be divided into several parts and also with addition of groove 33.
