Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the film free of sag and wrinkle by a method wherein the inflated film of thermoplastic resin having undergone bubble forming is passed through a specified folding device to bring the temperature difference in the circumferential direction of the film to below the predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A tubular film 1 having undergone bubble forming is passed through a substantially enclosed folding device composed of the folding device 2 and two side plates 3 for shutting the side portions of the folding device 2, the folding device 2 consisting of two flat plates and being capable of opening and closing freely. The side plates 3 and the like are so arranged that, when the tubular film 1 is introduced from an opening portion 4 and discharged via a linear slit opening portion 5 at the top, the temperature difference between those portions of the film which contact the folding device and those portions of the film which do not contact the folding device is less than 10 deg.C. A device 3c wherein the entire peripheral wall of the side plates 3 is integrated may also be used.
