Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the winding of synthetic fiberous yarn around a take-off roller and broken fibers greatly and wind the synthetic fibrous yarn stably, by melt spinning a thermoplastic polymer at a high speed, and winding the resultant fibrous yarn via the take-off roller provided with specific grooves.
CONSTITUTION: A melt extruded fibrous yarn 5 of a thermoplastic polymer is taken off by at least a pair of take-off rollers 6 and 7 at a speed ≥3,000m/min, and then wound at a speed ≥3,000m/min. The take-off roller 7 closest to a winder is provided with grooves 10, and the groove ratio G (%) which is a ratio between the total length of the noncontact yarn at the groove part and the total yarn length on the roller is set in the range 97≥G≥2/100V-50 [V is the take-off speed (m/min) of the yarn]. If the groove intervals are spaced equally, G is defined as follows: G=LG/ (LM+LG)×100 (LM is the contact length of the yarn; LG is the noncontact length).
