Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled fibers stably with the reduced equipment cost and power consumption at a high speed, by melt extruding many filamentary yarns at the same time, adjusting the contact angle of the yarns to a specific value on planished surfaces, taking off the yarns with a roller system of one heated godet roll at a specific peripheral speed, and shrinking the resultant yarns under heating.
CONSTITUTION: Many filamentary polyamide yarns (Y) extruded through a spinneret 1 simultaneously, cooled and solidified through a cooling cylinder 2 are oiled with an oiling roller 3, lubricated, passed through a yarn guide 4, and taken off by the first planished godet roll 5 and the planished second godet roll 6 at a yarn contact angle of 135W270 with the respective rolls. The second godet roll 6 is one heated roller with a heat insulating cover 7 at a peripheral speed ≥3,000m/min, and the yarns (Y) are drawn between the first and the second goet rolls 5 and 6, heat-treated on the surface of the second godet roll 6, passed through a heat-shrinking zone 9, traverse guides 10 and 10', separated into the respective yarns, passed through traverse apparatuses 11 and 11' and friction rollers 12 and 12' and wound onto bobbins 13 and 13'.
