Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the very easy insertion of an electric conductive support between electrodes facing each other and to make an expansion in width constant, by constructing the electric conductive support for the working surfaces of the electrodes with a couple of support members which are fixed in a certain distance at their lower ends, have a repelling power just above the fixed parts and are able to expand outwards.
CONSTITUTION: The working surfaces 5, 5 of electrodes are facing each other through electric conductive supports 4, 4 on a support base 3, having an upside- opened channel construction, at the top end of a vertical electrode rod 2 attached to an electrolysis cell. The coupled supports 4 are in contact together at their top ends 8 by inwards repelling power at parts 7 just above fixed parts 6, so that each coupled support 4 forms an angular shape as a whole. When a spacer 9 is inserted into a space between the coupled supports 4 against the repelling power, the surfaces 5, 5 are paralleled together. The number of the coupled supports 4 can be varied in accordance with the area of the surfaces 5.
