Abstract

PURPOSE: To impart a press moldability to a steel plate and obtain a nonaging property and a high tensile strength by a method wherein forming a hot-dipped Zn film on the surface of a cold-rolled steel strip which contains specified amount of C, Si, Mn, P, Al and Nb respectively with the relation of Al content to N content and that of Nb content to C content being specified.
CONSTITUTION: A steel slab containing, by weight, 0.002W0.015% of C, less than 0.5% of Si, 0.04W1.2% of Mn, 0.03W0.1% of P, 0.02W0.1 and more than (N%× 4)% of Al, and 0.01W0.08% and C%×3W(C%×8+0.02)% of Nb, is hot-rolled with a total reduction ratio of at least 90% and a rolling speed for finish rolling of at least 40m/min. Then, it is wound up at a temperature of not lower than 600°C to obtain a hot-rolled coil, which is cold rolled to a final thickness to obtain the cold- rolled steel strip. The cold-rolled steel strip is soaked at 700W900°C for 10secW 5min., then it is cooled at a cooling rate of not less than 30°C/sec and continuously hot-dip coated with Zn.
