PURPOSE:To decrease the types of interface boards, by converting the function of an interface circuit in an exchanger having 2-4 wire converting function with a switching mechanism which changes over two incoming and outgoing wires into exclusive two incoming and outgoing wires. CONSTITUTION:Printed boards 51A, 51B- having a plurality of interface functions are provided for a 2-4 wire conversion type exchanger 5, and the board 51A performs digital conversion for the electric signal of an audio source 3 via a codic 514 at a switching mechanism 517 and transmits it from an output terminal 518C to a channel replacing device 53. On the other hand, a digital signal inputted 518F is in analog conversion at a codic 514 for loud speaking 4. The board 51B transmits 518C the audio signal of a telephone set 2A at a switching mechanism 517 via a filter 516 and the codic 514, and the audio signal of other telephone set inputted 518F is supplied to the telephone set 2A via the codic 514 and a filter 515. Thus, one of the transmission and reception circuit can independently use one codic, allowing to decrease the types of boards for interface.
