PURPOSE:To simplify the installing work of a key telephone and to reduce the cost, by subjecting a frequency division and multiplication to the data which is transmitted and received between th key telephone and a switchboard and then superposing the data on a power supply line. CONSTITUTION:A call is carried out between a key telephone 2 and a trunk line interface 5 by coding both a modulated carrier frequency by voice-output and the tuned carrier frequency to voice input into the state designation codes. In this case, a various-type voice generator 14 is connected to each telephone 2 or the interface 5 via the telephone 2 to which a call is desired or a circuit which is equal to the interface 5. Thus the sounds such as a busy tone, dial tone and the like all generated. In this way, plural telephones are connected with a pair of lines.
