Abstract

PURPOSE:To sort recording media of various lengths rapidly and surely by operating a gate member according to the time when the media pass a detector. CONSTITUTION:When a price tag which could have been read of merchandise information with a reader is transferred and arrives at a detector 11, the detection signal is outputted from the detector 11 to an AND circuit 31 and an FF32, but since the circuit 31 does not send the output signal to a solenoid driving circuit 35, a gate roller is held in an upper threshold position and the price tag is contained into a stacker. On the other hand, when an unreadable price tag arrives at the detector 11, the detection signal is supplied from the detector 11 to the circuit 31 and the FF32, and the FF32 sends the output signals to FFs 33, 34, by which the roller is held in a lower moving threshold position. Hence, the price tags falls into a branch transfer path 25, and is contained into a stacker. Thereby, the price tags are sorted rapidly and surely.
