Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent stress corrosion by making the cavitation erosion shielding member for the valves for a nuclear plant from martensite stainless containing a specific amount of chrome and thermally processing the member and forming a prescribed structure.
CONSTITUTION: A valve is manufactured, of which the valve seat 2 and the valve piece 3 are constituted of the valve substrate 2b and 3b formed of austenite stainless steel and the cavitation erosion shielding parts 2b and 3b which are connected onto the sheet part surface 2A and the dise part 3A surface of the valve substrate 2b and 3b and made of martenisite stainless steel containing chrome above 15wt%. After the shielding parts 2a and 3b are joined onto the surfaces of the sheet part 2A and the disc part 3A, the shielding parts 2a and 3a are heated at 1,000W1,100°C, and the heat influenced part of the valve substrate 2b and 3b and the shielding parts 2a and 3a are converted into austenite structure substantially, then chilled by air or oil, and heat influenced parts of the valve substrate 2b and 3b are converted into austenite structure, and the shielding parts 2a and 3a are converted into martensite structure substantially.
