Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the vehicle from moving out by accident by a method wherein the discharge of the capacitor is effected only when the neutral position of a variable speed gear is detected. CONSTITUTION:When a starter (not shown) is operated during the time when a switch DS for detecting the neutral point of the variable speed gear is ON, the voltage excited by an exciting coil EXC is impressed upon a main capacitor C1 and the output of a pulse generator PG is applied on the gate of a thyrister SCR via the neutral position detecting switch DS at a point at which the engine r.p.m. reaches a value ready for ignition. Consequently, SCR is turned ON, a discharge circuit for the capacitor C1 and formed and the engine is started through an ignition coil IGC and an ignition plug G. At the same time, the discharge current of the capacitor C1 flows through a self circuit to make Q2 and Q1 turned ON in sequence and the output of the pulse generator PG continues to be supplied to SCR via a transistor TRQ1 even when the variable speed gear is shifted to the neutral position and the switch DS is turned OFF.
