Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform alarm processing accurately by storing one frame of a video signal from an image pickup device in a memory as a string with constant or prescribed time intarvals, and by comprising the stored signal with a video signal outputted from a TV camera at the same point of time. CONSTITUTION:After a TV camera 1 takes a picture of an object 2 and an A/D converter 8 performs digital conversion, one frame of a video signal is stored in a one-frame video IC memory 12 by a basic clock from a clock generator 3. The one- frame video signal stored in this memory 12 is read to an absolute-value circuit 15 for a difference by an instruction from a microcomputer system 10 to find a difference in brightness from a signal projected on a TV monitor 25 at this time. The difference is applied to the 1st comparator 16 and then compared with a reference value from the system 10. When the output of the circuit 5 is greater than the reference value, a counter 17 is operated to eliminate an error due to the fluctuation of lighting by the 2nd comparator 18, thereby applying an alarm signal 21 to the system 10.
