Abstract

PURPOSE:To put a recording head in operation only upon occasion by arranging the reading head and recording head of a facsimile equipment, consisting of a transmitter and receiver in one body, on a guiding means independently and movably. CONSTITUTION:Guide shafts 1 and 2 borne between side plates arranged in parallel consisting the structure of an equipment are fitted in a carrier 3 being slidable. The carrier 3 consists of a carrier element 3a supporting a reading head 4 and a carrier element 3b supporting a recording head 8. The head 4 has single-body CCD elements in a sub-scanning direction and reads a picture in the sub-scanning direction of an original 23 to a required width by one main scan. The head 8 has an array of single-body heat-sensitive elements in the sub-scanning direction and records a received image in the sub-scanning direction of a recording material 31 to a required width by one main scan. The carriers 3b and 3a have a fixed electromagnet 16 and a fixed iron piece 17 respectively and the both are coupled together only at need.
