Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent performance decrease of a blower and reduce its noise, by forming a rotary shaft, protruded to the inside of a vaned rotor, as short as possible simultaneously providing a suction passage shielding part in both side parts of a suction port.
CONSTITUTION: When an electric motor 11 is operated to rotate a vaned rotor 9, fluid sucked from a fluid suction port 5 crosses the route of a rotary vane and flows into the inside of the vaned rotor 9. Here the fluid suction port 5 is formed narrower with a shielding plate 8 by the amount of width corresponding to the internally protruding part of a rotary shaft 10, thus the sucked fluid is not caused to directly collide against a portion of the rotating rotary shaft 10. Since the width of the shielding plate 8 is in a slight amount of dimension as compared with dimensions of an opening of the overall suction port, the whole amount of suction air is never decreased.
