Abstract

PURPOSE: To dispense with an exhaust brake valve and simplify the structure by synchronously controlling an exhaust cutout in the shape of a sliding valve which is installed across the exhaust feeding pipe and the turbine by-pass pipe, and change-over valves in the air inlet system installed in the compressor.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust cutout valve device 7 is installed across and exhaust feeding pipe 5 and a turbine by-pass pipe 6. Change-over valves 22, 23 in the air inlet system to respectively open and close a fresh air inlet pipe 19, air feeding pipe 20 and a compressor by-pass pipe 21. The main controller 17 controls the exhaust cutout valve device 7 and the change-over valves 22, 23 according to the determined sequence. Since the cutout valve 7 applies a sliding valve, it cannot cause trouble, and provides a function as an exhaust brake valve.
