PURPOSE:To produce a nozzle which is superior in corrosion resistance and spalling resistance and is free from nozzle clogging by using zirconia-mullite base raw materials as part of aggregate and compounding carbon with this. CONSTITUTION:Zirconia-mullite base raw materials consist of structure in which zirconia intersperse among needle crystals of mullite. Said zirconia-mullite base raw materials are used as part of aggregate, and carbon is compounded with this. The mixture is molded then reduction-fired. For example, 1 or >=2 kinds selected from oxides such as alumina, silica and silica and magnesia or carbides and nitrides such as silicon carbide and silicon nitride are used as aggregate other than the zirconia- mullite base raw materials. Natural graphite, artificial graphite or an org. binder such as pitch or phenolic resin which is carbonized by carbonization is used for the carbon.
