CONSTITUTION:When a control signal is impressed from a logic section 3 into a thyristor switch section 2, thyristor elements 2a-2n are turned on in a relatively short period of time. In case the heat sensitive printing is effected in three stages of tone, for example, first, second and third heating element groups are turned on respectively by impressing an electric source to the heating element groups which are printing with first, second and third densities while they are turned off by opening an opening and closing switch 43. Accordingly, the heat sensitive paper being contacted with the heating section 1 changes the color thereof into a dense color in proportion to the length of the conducting time of electricity, therefore, the conducting time of the electricity to each heating element is controlled in accordance with the density of a picture element to obtan the image of the heat sensitive printing having three stages of tone.
