Abstract
PURPOSE:To make correction of carrier balance due to temperature drift of an orthogonal modulator, by detecting the chroma signal at white balance operation from the output of the orthogonal modulator of an color encoder modulated with the chroma signal information. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric converting output converted at a target 3 of a image tube 1 is fed to an LPF5, BPFs 6 and 7 and a Y signal from the LPF5 is inputted to a YC mixer 8. Further, a chroma signal information detected from the BPFs 6, 7 is detected for the modulating component of carrier with detection circuits 9, 10 and the chroma signal is red and blue can be detected with LPFs 11, 12. Further, after DC biasing, the difference between the output and the Y signal is given to a color encoder 17. Further, the chroma signal is outputted and fed to another input to the YC mixer 8 and outputted from a color video signal output 18. On the other hand, the output of the color encoder 17 is fed to sampling hold circuits 21, 22 to be a bias voltage to DC bias circuits 15, 16 to avoid the production of chroma signal at the output of the color encoder 17.
