Abstract

PURPOSE: To lower the manufacturing cost, enable to lighten the part and reduce the amount of necessary raw materials by a method wherein a main body member and a flange member are made individually and the flange member is jointed together to the main body member by press-fitting the projections in the fitting surface of the main body member.
CONSTITUTION: The fitting surface 24 is formed on the outer circumference of the main body member 22 and a circular shoulder 26 is formed below the fitting surface 24. At the center of the flanged member 30 to be jointed together to the main body member 22, the fitting hole 32 to be fitted to the fitting surface 24 is formed. On the inner circumferential surface of the hole 32, a plurality of projections 36 are formed in properly spaced relation. A flanged part is manufactured by press-fitting both the members 22 and 30 with each other as each projection 36 of the fitting hole of the flanged member 30 cuts into the fitting surface 24 of the main body member 22. The press-fitting is completed by abutting the lower surface of the flanged member 30 against the shoulder 26.
