Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the concn. of separated liquid and improve evaporation effect by heat treating org. sludge with compressed air and steam in a reaction vessel, then introducing the same in a distillation vessel under negative pressure and removing the gas from the inside of sludge.
CONSTITUTION: The raw sludge fed by a pump 1 enters a reaction vessel 3 via a heat exchanger 2, and the compressed air and steam from a compressor 4 and a boiler 5 contact the sludge in the vessel 3, whereby heat treatment is accomplished. The treated sludge heats the raw sludge by passing through the heat exchanger 2, after which its temp. lowers to about 70°C and this sludge enters the 1st vacuum distillation device A. In the device A, the sludge entering the distillation vessel 6 is heated by the pipe 10 passing the waste gas of about 250°C from the boiler 5, and the gas contg. evaporated moisture and odorous components is sucked into a vapor- liquid separating device 9, where it is concd. and the sludge removed of bubbles is cooled to about 40°C and enters a concentrating tank 11.
