Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize an easy measurement of the focal distance, by shielding slowly and in a fixed cycle the output light given from the projection-type cathode-ray tube by the gobo. CONSTITUTION:The output light given from projection-type cathode-ray tube 4 is shielded slowly and in a fixed cycle by gobo 8. As a result, the size of the spot image displayed on screen 6 can be converted into the shift amount of the spot image to facilitate an easy identification by the naked eyes. Then an adjustment is given to the distance between tube 4 and screen 6 to minimize the shift amount of the spot image. In this way, the focal distance can be measured for the projection- type cathode-ray tube.
