Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a constant sludge concentration regardless of a variation of the properties and flow rate of the muddy water and thus obtain the treated water having a high degree of clarification, by securing a movable partition plate of a flock growing tank and then realizing an increase/decrease for the exit area of the flock growing tank in accordance with the extent of movement of the partition plate.
CONSTITUTION: For instance, a partition plate 81a forming a surface of a flock growing tank 7 is rocked as a whole and centering on a hinge 20 attached covering over the the bottom part and a bottom plate 17 of the plate 81a. For this rocking device, a screw shaft 21a is screwed to a nut 19 which is fixed through a checking landing 18 on the main body 1 of the rocking device, and a bracket 21c fixed to the lower end of the screw shaft is connected to a bracket 81b fixed onto the plate 81a via a rod 21e. Thus a handle 21g is turned to turn the shaft 21a. The sludge concentration is lowered when the flock sedimentation velocity is low. Thus the exit sectional area is increased to slow down the exit flow speed and thus to increase the volume of the tank 7.
