Abstract
PURPOSE:To vary the converging position of the laser beam to the radius direction or the direction of tangential line of a recording track for a controller for light converging position, by adding an objective lens at an end of a flection-type piezoelectric element. CONSTITUTION:Figures 15 and 15' show the baring parts, and the outer circumference part of a bearing 17 having a shaft-shaped member 16 in its inside is adhered to an end of flexion-type piezoelectric elements 7 and 7' each. Both the tracking and time axis compensations can be performed by giving a flexion to the elements 7 and 7'. A piezoelectric element 18 is constituted so that the flexing direction is inverted at the middle point Q in the lengthwise direction of the piezoelectric element. With application of an electric field, the flexing direction is inverted at the point Q. Thus an objective lens 2 is shifted to a position 2' perpendicular to an optical axis 5. No consideration is required for an effect of coma aberration since the lens 2 has no inclination at all to the axis 5.
