Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease CO gas of high concentration remarkably by arranging the first and second laminar oxidizing catalyst layers with specified structure to an upper section of solid fuel housed in a combustion apparatus body in the combustion apparatus for solid fuel such as a briquet.
CONSTITUTION: A briquet stove consists of refractories, the inside is provided with a main body 1 with internal space housing a briquet 3 and a primary air sucking hole 2 is opened to a side wall of the main body 1. A porous plate 4 consisting of refractories, which doubles as a trivet, is placed on an upper opening of the main body 1. In such constitution, the first laminar caralyst layer 6 is disposed in the vicinity of an upper surface of the briquet 3 in the stove body 1 while the second laminar catalyst layer 7 is arranged to a section upper than the upper surface of the briquet 3 only by 2W10cm.
