Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit confirmation of normal operation of a switch without letting the lubricating oil in the high-pressure side pipe flow out to outside by providing an oil pressure protecting pressure switch having a closing valve provided on the high-pressure side and a controlling valve on the low-pressure side.
CONSTITUTION: Lubricating oil is enclosed in a high-pressure side piping 3. On the other hand, while a compressor 4 is being operated and with a controlling valve 12 provided in a low-pressure side piping 5 closed, a coolant gas is enclosed in the low-pressure side piping 5. By the difference between the pressure of the coolant gas and that of the lubricating oil enclosed in the high-pressure side piping 3, an oil pressure protecting pressure switch 1 is maintained in nonworking state. Thereafter, the compressor 4 is stopped, and the controlling valve 12 in the low-pressure side piping 5 is gradually opened to introduce the high-pressure coolant gas into the low-pressure side piping 5 so that the difference between the pressure of the lubricating oil enclosed in the high-pressure side piping 3 is reduced in order to actuate the oil pressure protecting pressure switch 1. The pressure difference between the lubricating oil and the coolant gas in said operation is detected by means of an oil-pressure gauge 8 and a low-pressure gauge 9. Thereby, the normal operation of the switch 1 can be confirmed without removing the connecting part of the high-pressure side piping 3 and letting the lubricating oil therein flow out to outside.
