Abstract

PURPOSE: To fix the displacement quantity of an exposure quantity adjusting finger- screw dependent upon types of originals independently of fluctuation of illuminous intensity of the light source, and to facilitate adjustment by increasing and reducing the relation between the displacement quantity of said finger-screw and the change quantity of the slit width in geometrical series.
CONSTITUTION: The light from light source 1 of the slit exposure unit is irradiated onto original 2, and the reflection light is reflected by mirror 3, and the reflection light is imaged onto the surface of photosensitive material drum 5 through lens mechanism 4. In this case, though the exposure quantity is adjusted by exposure quantity adjusting finger-screw 7 provided on the operation panel, the form of cam 9 is so determined that slit width W may be changed with relation (y=a.2x) between finger-screw 7 and change quantity (y) of width W. As a result, slit width W (exposure quantity) changes always in a fixed proportion according to displacement of finger-screw 7 independently of fluctuation of illuminous intensity of the light source dependent upon fluctuation of the power source voltage.
