Abstract
PURPOSE: To realize elimination of exposure unevenness regardless of reciprocity law of photoreceptor, by changing the quantity of emission of illumination lamp of illumination optical system depending on the changes in the incident angle of the exposure luminous flux into the imaging lens system.
CONSTITUTION: In the event of slit exposure, since the incident angle θ of the exposure luminous flux into an imaging lens system 2 varies continuously during exposure, the vignetting factor differs according to th cosine fourth power law. As the incident angle θ becomes larger, the image plane illumination of optical image at exposure position P lowers. With the image plane illumination at incident angle θ=O taken as 100%, in order to image at the exposure position P at image plane illumination 100% when θ is not O, that is, to achieve slit exposure under the same condition, it is enough to change the quantity of emission of the illumination lamp in a way that the illumination of the slit-form lighting part may change as shown in the drawing according to the variation of the incident angle θ. In paractice, by changing the applied voltage to the illumination lamps 42, 52 depending on the incident angle θ, exposure may be performed always under the same conditions, so that unevenness of exposure may be eliminated.
