CONSTITUTION:An original 1 and photosensitive paper 2 are superposed and are inserted into a copying machine, and its transmittance is measured. On the other hand, a photosensitive paper selecting switch plate provided with selecting switches SW1-SW3 corresponding to the sensitivity of the photosensitive paper is provided, and the light transmitted through the superposed sheets of the original 1 and the photosensitive paper 2 is put into a photodetector 4. The output of this photodetector 4 is converted to a digital signal with an A/D converter and is inputted to an input part. In an arithmetic part, the signal from the input part is received, and the transmittance of the photosensitive paper corresponding to the switching SW is drawn out from the storage part, and is operated with the signal from the photodetecting part, whereby the transmittance of only the original 1 is obtained. Based on the results of the operation thereof, the speed of, for example, a motor for conveyance and the quantity of light of an exposure lamp is changed by way of a control part.
