Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce crushed ice thawing loss, by sucking air from discharge side of a crushed ice conveying pipe through an air blowing step to lower inside pressure of the conveying pipe and accelerate low-pressure-and-high-speed air flow, and also by making further crushing of the crushed ice in the conveying pipe for better suction.
CONSTITUTION: Suction side of an air-blowing step 3, is connected through with discharge side of a conveying pipe 1, and air being lower in pressure than atmosphere is made to flow at a high speed in the conveying pipe 1 through this air- blowing step 3, and by this air flow the crushed ice sucked into the conveying pipe is air-conveyed. In the case of passing insulation-compressed high-pressure-and-high- speed air flow by forcibly introducing into the conveying pipe 1, it is usually heated up to a high temperature, but by this invention, it is cooled instead, and a difference in temperature between the air in the conveying pipe 1 and surface of the crushed ice becomes reduced, and therefore, thawing loss of the crushed ice being conveyed can be minimized.
