Abstract

PURPOSE:To adjust a printing point on recording paper by a method wherein the orbits of deflected ink grains are detected by means of an ink grain deflecting location detecting means, and an angle of inclination of a plate body supporting the recording paper is adjusted in response to the results of detection. CONSTITUTION:In a deflection controlling type ink jet recorder, grains injected from a nozzle 1c are deflected by means of a charge electrode 2a and deflection electrodes 3a, 3b, and reach to a printing location. A form 10 is transferred along the surface of a rotary member 8. When a head is at a waiting location, a deflection electrode unit 13 is mounted where deflected ink grains collide with the rotary member. When the deflected grains collide with 13a or 13c, signals enter a motor driver MDC from deflection electrode detecting circuits 14a or 14c, a pulse motor is turned and an inclination of the rotary member 8 is adjusted. When ink grains collide with 13b, the printing location is proper, and the slippage of the deflection of ink grains is compensated.
