Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to check the connection of a signal line in a short period of time through a simple operation by displaying the preset checking data and transferring said data from an electronic weighing machine to a cash register according to the demand therefrom in testing. CONSTITUTION:An electronic weighing machine 1 and an electronic cash register (ECR)2 are connected with a signal line so that the weighing data of the weighing machine 1 is transferred according to the data calling-in operation on the ECR. When there is a data calling-in operation at the ECR2 during the operation of the testing operation starting switch provided at an operating part 6 of the weighing machine 1, the preset signal line checking data are successively displayed on a display device 7 of the weighing machine 1 and at the same time, said data are transferred to the ECR2. For example, also the weighing machine 1 is provided with a data processor 27 so as to successively display and transfer such checking data as 01248, 00000, 11111, 22222... according to the test program stored in the ROM thereof.
