Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress revolutions of a pump for the purpose of preventing generation of bubbles in oil by driving the pump for generation of control oil pressure by the crank shaft of the engine with a certain speed reduction ratio and, thereby, securing necessary oil pressure without imposing too much load on the battery.
CONSTITUTION: The power unit Up is composed of an engine E and a transmission T, between which a clutch 55 is interposed. An oil pressure pump Ph is driven together with a lubricating pump Pl by the intermediate shaft 52 through gears 63, 64. As this intermediate shaft 52 is driven directly by the crank shaft with the aid of primary reduction gears 56, 57, the oil pressure pump Ph operates regardless of the position of the clutch 55. Accordingly, the oil pressure for control is secured at the starting time of the car, that shall, together without using motor operated pump, spare unnecessary load imposition on the battery, and the pump can be kept free from operation at an excessive speed subsequently preventing generation of bubbles.
