Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform a complete combustion above a flame-spreading plate and to protect a material by forming an oxide film on the upper surface thereof, by a method wherein an air feeding cylinder, which supplies a fresh air, and a wind control plate are located above the flame-spreading plate positioned above a combustion cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: An oil burning device consists of a tank 1, wick guide cylinders 2 and 4, a wick D, an internal flame cylinder 5, an external flame cylinder D, flame- spreading plates 6 and 7, and a glass cylinder C. An air feeding cylinder 3, which is constituted such that a lower end thereof is secured on the wick guide cylinder 2, an upper end thereof passes through the wick guide cylinder 4, the internal flame cylinder 5, and the flame-spreading plates 6 and 7, emerges from the flame-spreading plate 7, and small holes are made in an upper surface of the upper end and in a circumferential part of the air feeding cylinder, is located at said kerosine burning device. A wind control plate 8, which changes an air current at an upper portion of the flame-spreading plate 7, is secured on an upeer end of the air feeding cylinder 3 by the use of fixtures 9. This enables an even supply of enough air onto the flame- spreading plate 7, and permits the protection of a material with a sufficient oxide film formed over an upper side of the flame spreading plate 7.
