Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the particle size of feed coal for coke oven in order to obtain coke with stable quality, by feeding adjusted coal for coke preparation to an automatic device for measuring a weight ratio, classifying it by a vibrating sieve to calculate a weight ratio, by which a grinder is controlled automatically.
CONSTITUTION: The adjusted coal 17 for coke preparation which is obtained by blending and granulating coal by the grinder 1 or granulating, followed by blending, on the way to send it to the coal tower 3, is collected automatically from the transferring conveyor 2 by the sampler 4 to prepare a given amount of coal, which is fed to an automatic device for measuring a weight ratio, and, at this position, the coal is classified by the vibrating sieve 6 with a given mesh. The part A not passing through the sieve is collected in the storage hopper 8, and the part B passing through it is received by the hopper scale 10 and its weight is measured by the load cell 11. A weight ratio is calculated by the counting and controlling part 13, and a signal is sent from the controlling part 13 to the grinder 1 based on the value of the ratio, so that the amount of work of the grinder is controlled automatically to adjust the particle size of the feed coal 17. The belt convyeor 15 lies below the hopper scale 10, the gate 12 is opened by the discharge signal from the controlling part 13 to discharge the samples A and B.
