Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove excessive formaldehyde without causing thickening and colorization in the liquid system and also any damage to the wall film of capsule by adding urea and resorcin to the suspension of micro capsules after the completion of capsulation. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of micro capsules by using formaldehyde as a film wall-forming material, urea and resorcin are jointly added to the suspension of micro capsules after capsulation has been finished, whereupon excessive formaldehyde present in the dispersion of micro capsules is reacted with urea and resorcin added and thereby deviation of equilibrium in the composition of the wall film can be prevented. Thus, formaldehyde can be removed without causing thickening and colorization in the liquid system and also any damage to the wall film.
