Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the volume efficiency and to reduce the number of parts by forming discharge paths of crescent window symmetrically against the center line of a cylinder head while forming crescent projection corresponding with said paths at the head of piston.
CONSTITUTION: Discharge paths 5 of crescent window are formed symmetrically against the center line Y-Y of a cylinder head 1 while crescent projection 21 having mountain-shaped cross-section corresponding with the shape of said path 5 is formed at the head of a piston 16. Consequently said projection 21 will enter sufficiently into the space of said path 5 while the gap volume of said path is reduced, thereby the volume efficiency is improved and reduced number of parts is required because the cylinder head is integrally formed.
