Abstract
PURPOSE:To supply energy required for fixation securely by minimizing electric power loss by providing a flash fixing device with an outside temperature detecting circuit and by using a power source having an incorporated control circuit which varies a voltage applied to a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:Temperature detector 7 is composed of a thermistor, etc., to transfer the level of the outside temperature to power source 6 in the form of a voltage or current. Power source 6 has a voltage control circuit which varies a voltage applied to capacitor 4 on the basis of information on the outside temperature from temperature detector 7. The voltage control circuit, when the outside temperature is low, sets the applied voltage of capacitor 6 higher than usual by temperature detector 7. Consequently, even if the power loss of consumption by the resistance of capacitor 4 is large, high energy which does not cause hindrance to the fixation is charged. When the outside temperature is high, on the other hand, the applied voltage is set lower and energy enough for the fixation charged. This constitution minimizes the power loss due to fluctuations of temperature and supplies energy required for record fixation securely.
