Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for any mechanical detecting means and eliminate damages and the like of a film surface by optically forming a detecting means for detecting the feed position of films by using a light emitting diode and phototransistors. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting diode LD which emits rays of wavelengths other than the photosensitve wavelength of a film and a phototransistor Q3 which receives reflected light are disposed to the end part of the film moving plane of a camera which is so arranged as to feed the film by one frame automatically upon completion of the release operation of the shutter, and a signal is generated at the time when feed hole of the edge part of the film F passes. A transistor (TR) Q4 is controlled by this signal, and the discharge current of a capacitor C1 is supplied to the base of the TR Q1, whereby winding of the film by a motor M is accomplished. This makes the detection extremely easy, eliminates damages and the like of the film planes and improves reliability.
